Plan ahead with the Weekly Resources List

When you have a busy day or week of teaching ahead, the last thing you need is to be frantically searching for resources to use in your maths lessons.
Alongside core Student Book activities, it’s important to incorporate concrete resources and printable materials in your lesson to boost engagement and support hands-on application of mathematical concepts. So, whether you’re planning for a topic lesson, a problem-solving task, an assessment, or a week-long investigation, it helps to be prepared.
At Maths Trek Online, each unit includes a list of the concrete and printable resources required to complete the lesson, task or investigation. Even better, we’ve also compiled all the resources you need for the year into one handy Weekly Resources List, making planning and resource management a little easier.
Available in the Preparation and Planning section of Maths Trek Online, each year level has its own resource list broken down by week. The list also conveniently includes the unit number each resource relates to. Investigation weeks are highlighted in green since they generally require unique materials that may not be among the readily available resources in your classroom.
Using the list to plan ahead is also ideal if your class shares common concrete resources – such as MAB, analog clocks, play money or counters – with other classrooms.
