Plan your Maths Trek professional learning for 2025

Maths Trek 20/10/24

With many schools already adjusting their resources to align with the new curriculum or preparing to do so in 2025, we’ve loved seeing so many educators embrace Maths Trek.

As with any new program, it’s important for schools to ensure their entire teaching staff have a shared understanding of its approach.

Maths Trek’s professional learning options are designed to support teachers and ensure a smooth and consistent implementation of the program across your whole school.

Let’s explore the range of professional learning options available to schools implementing Maths Trek in 2025:

Professional learning workshops

Workshops are invaluable both for schools new to Maths Trek as well as those familiar with the program. For schools adopting Maths Trek for the first time, a workshop is an important opportunity to introduce the Maths Trek program and ensure your school gets off to a strong start. For schools already using the program, the workshop allows your existing and new staff to brush up on key components and provides an opportunity to address any questions that may have arisen while using Maths Trek.

Our team of highly experienced education consultants are former classroom teachers, curriculum leaders and principals who provide free workshops tailored to meet the specific needs of your school.

With Maths Trek, you can choose either an in-school or virtual professional learning workshop, depending on your requirements.

In-school workshops

Where possible, we highly recommend our in-school sessions. There’s nothing quite like an in-person workshop that focuses on the areas of interest for your staff and your school’s goals. Whether you want to build proficiency in delivering the program effectively, or do a deep dive into critical thinking, our education consultants can tailor the session to your needs. All workshops conclude with a Q&A session where teachers can directly ask the presenter questions.

Virtual workshops

Virtual sessions are open to the public and as such have a generalised focus to suit the varying needs of all attendees. In the virtual session, the presenter takes you through Maths Trek’s structured framework and intuitive resources. The sessions are conducted outside of school hours so you can tune in from the comfort of your own home. As with the in-school workshops, virtual workshops conclude with a Q&A session where teachers can ask the presenter questions.

Whether you opt for in-school or virtual workshops, these sessions will ensure a seamless and consistent teaching approach for your school.

Professional learning articles and videos

In addition to our workshops, you can access a range of professional learning resources, including articles, videos and technical support.

These resources are designed to give you ongoing guidance and practical ideas as you implement Maths Trek throughout the year.

With a focus on real classroom strategies, our professional learning options help teachers build confidence in their instruction, improve student outcomes and create a collaborative learning environment.
