The competition is being administered by Firefly Education, PO Box 634, Buderim, Queensland 4556 (ABN 56 162 375 420).
Entries open on 24 October 2024 and close on 9 December 2024 at 12:00 pm AEST.
All entries must be submitted by fulfilling the requirements outlined on the competition page. Firefly Education accepts no responsibility for entries not received.
Entries are only open to persons employed by an Australian school.
Entrants must be 18 years or older.
The prize consists of:
1 x Individual Licence to Sound Waves Literacy Online Teaching Resources
25 x Sound Waves Student Books (Foundation or Year 1)
25 x Sound Waves Student Charts (Foundation or Standard)
full suite of Sound Waves Decodable Readers (1 x Support set, 1 x Core set and 1 x Extended set) (Foundation or Year 1)
postage of physical products to a school address in Australia.
Note: The winner will be able to select their preferred year level – Foundation or Year 1.
At any point during the competition period, Firefly Education reserves the right to exclude any prize products from being eligible if stock becomes limited or sells out.
The prize is not redeemable for cash.
Access to any digital products will be valid until 31 December 2025. The winner must agree to the terms and conditions applicable to the use of any online licences, including that the resources will be used in their classroom only.
The winner must claim their prize before 1 March 2025.
This competition is considered a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. The winner will be selected by Firefly Education and judging will be based on, among other things, originality and creative merit. To be eligible to win, the entrant must complete the entry form and tell us in 50 words or fewer why they want to win our Sound Waves Literacy Prize Pack.
The response that most inspires the Firefly Education judging panel will be chosen as the winner, provided that all other terms and conditions are met.
The winner will be contacted on 10 December 2024 via email. Firefly Education accepts no responsibility if we are unable to make contact with the winner via email. The winner and school name will be announced on the Firefly Education Instagram page at www.instagram.com/firefly.education. Entry into this competition is deemed an agreement to have these details announced on the Firefly Education Instagram page for the winning entrant.
Employees of Firefly Education and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
Personal information provided in entering this competition will be treated in accordance with Firefly Education’s Privacy Policy.
There is no entry fee and no purchase requirement in this competition. Entrants are responsible for any costs associated with entering this competition, such as costs associated with accessing the internet.
These terms and conditions are governed by Australian law. Any grievance or dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
