Where do I find the Readiness Test?

Maths Trek

Log in to Maths Trek Online and go to the Preparation & Planning section to find the Readiness Test and answers for each year level.

Maths Trek provides a Readiness Test for every year level from Year 1 to Year 6. The Readiness Tests include 25 ‘at level’ questions from the previous year.

The Readiness Test can be used at the start of the year to ascertain prior learning and identify any areas of collective weakness across the class. It can also be used when new students join the class to identify any gaps in understanding.

If there are gaps in students’ understanding, allocate extra time when teaching the relevant topic. You may need to review the previous year’s lesson, or students may complete the support differentiation tasks before you teach the new lesson. Differentiation tasks can be found in the Extras section of the relevant topic.

Note: The Readiness Test is not a diagnostic test and is not suitable for individual student remediation. To review individual progress, refer to student assessments from the previous year.
